Table Lighter Nero Marquina

Nero Marquina is a deep black marble quarried in northern Spain, prized since the early 20th century for the fine white veining that runs through its dark body — a favourite of Art Deco designers and still a benchmark material for bold, contemporary interiors today. This table lighter puts that same striking stone to work at desk scale.

The scale is deliberate. A cigar wants to be lit slowly, turned above the flame rather than pushed into it, and that is far easier with a lighter heavy enough to stay put — here, 2.5 kg of solid marble. The butane torch flame resists wind and burns without odour, so nothing carries over into the first third of the smoke.
