Carrara marble is one of the most famous stones in the world, extracted from the Apuan Alps and prized by artists and architects since antiquity. It is the same marble Michelangelo chose for the David, and the stone that shaped the Pantheon in Rome. Its fine grain and luminous white body still make it a benchmark material today, and the Carrara quarries remain a living centre of that craft, passed down through generations.

Split by hand, finished by hand

The bowl is cut on a CNC and the outer edge is then split by hand, the same way the old stonemasons worked, so the raw, quarry-cut face is left exposed against the polished hollow. No two pieces break the same way, which makes each ashtray genuinely one of a kind. Every finishing pass after the cut is done entirely by hand.

Built for the cigar

The design gives particular attention to stability and to a wide, deep bowl, ideal for Cuban cigars and their long ash. At 2.5 kg it stays planted on the table, and the broad rests hold a cigar securely between draws.

Care

Clean the marble with a soft, barely damp cloth only: acidic and limescale products etch polished stone permanently, and on a pale marble like Carrara any staining shows most.

How do I clean it?
Wipe with a soft dry cloth after use. For deeper cleaning use a slightly damp microfibre and dry immediately, and avoid acidic or abrasive products.
