Nero Marquina is a deep black marble quarried in northern Spain, prized since the early 20th century for the fine white veining running through its dark body. It was a favourite of Art Deco designers and remains a benchmark for bold interiors today. This Large Diamond humidor puts that same striking material to work at full display scale.
Twenty-eight kilos of thermal inertia
Marble at this mass does something a wooden humidor cannot: it resists temperature change. A room that warms three degrees over an afternoon will move the interior of a thin-walled box almost immediately, whereas here the stone absorbs most of that swing before it reaches the cigars. Since temperature stability is what protects tobacco over years of ageing, and since humidity follows temperature, the weight is the specification rather than a side effect of it.
The system inside
Boveda packs provide the moisture, working in both directions so the humidity holds a flat line rather than cycling, and a dynamic ventilation system then circulates that air through the interior. Over 70 cm and more than a hundred cigars, a gradient would otherwise form between the packs and the far end; circulation flattens it. There is no water to add: the packs are replaced when they begin to stiffen, typically every two to four months. Internal LED lighting reads the white veining against the black stone whenever the drawer is open. The drawer front is solid oak on a Blumotion soft-close mechanism, so it retains the conditioned air on opening where a hinged lid would release it, and stays flat over years of humid air on one face.
Capacity and care
The 120-cigar capacity is measured on a standard Toro, around 135 Robusto, and varies with ring gauge. Keep the humidor below roughly 21 °C and out of direct sun. Above about 24 °C tobacco beetle eggs can hatch inside a cigar. Clean the marble with a soft, barely damp cloth: acidic and limescale products etch polished stone permanently.

How many cigars does it hold?
It holds around 120 Toro cigars (roughly 135 Robusto), measured on a Toro and shifting with ring gauge. Slimmer vitolas raise the number; thick ring gauges lower it.
Do I need to add water?
No. Humidity is managed by two-way Boveda packs, so there is no reservoir to fill. You simply replace the packs when they stiffen, typically every two to four months.
How does it keep humidity even?
It adds dynamic air circulation and internal LED lighting, so humidity stays even from end to end and the interior is beautifully lit.
Will my humidor look exactly like the photos?
No. Natural marble varies from piece to piece, so your humidor will differ from the images and from every other one we make.
