Table Lighter Nero Marquina

Nero Marquina is a deep black marble quarried in northern Spain, prized since the early 20th century for the fine white veining that runs through its dark body. It was a favourite of Art Deco designers and remains a benchmark material for bold, contemporary interiors today. This table lighter puts that same striking stone to work at desk scale.

The scale is deliberate. A cigar wants to be lit slowly, turned above the flame rather than pushed into it, and that is far easier with a lighter heavy enough to stay put, here 2.5 kg of solid marble. The butane torch flame resists wind and burns without odour, so nothing carries over into the first third of the smoke.
