Table Lighter Tamo

Tamo, sometimes called Japanese ash burl, is one of the rarest and most sought-after figured woods used in fine woodworking. Its dramatic, rippled figure only becomes available once the tree has died naturally, since the burl cannot be harvested any other way, which means availability is limited by nature rather than by us. Every Tamo piece is genuinely one-of-a-kind.

For all the rarity of the material, it is built to be used. The 2.2 kg body stays put on a table while you turn a cigar above the flame, and the butane torch burns clean and wind-resistant, with no petrol taste carried into the first third, which is where a good cigar shows its construction.
